For almost two decades, Andrew Peterson and his group of incredibly talented friends have brought a fresh perspective and music to the Christmas season. The "Behold the Lamb of God" tour has sold out numerous venues across the country and the yearly performance at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium now sells out two shows.
3GEN Ministries and Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church are thrilled to welcome the tour's first ever and long awaited performance in Greenville, SC on Thursday, December 6 at 7:00pm at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church (207 Mitchell Road, Greenville, SC 29615).
Peterson remarks that even thought the tour has continued to grow over the last eighteen years, its purpose has remained constant. The unique show presents the Christmas story, with a series of songs that tell the story beginning with the Old Testament and moving to the New Testament.
“To sing these same songs for eighteen years and still be so moved by this story is evidence to me the truth of the Gospel. The older I get, the more I realize how deeply broken I am and how desperate I am for it all to be true. The fact that I get to do it with so many friends with so much shared history makes it that much better.” - Andrew Peterson
Studio and live recordings of the shows music can be found on the 2009 album Behold the Lamb of God: The True Tall Tale of the Coming of Christ.
